Argos - collect

Collecting points at Argos

  1. You can collect 1 Nectar point per £1 on qualifying spend at Argos stores, Argos in Sainsbury’s and at Argos.co.uk in the UK. Exclusions apply.
  2. The Nectar scheme is not available at Irish Argos stores or at Argos.ie. 
  3. To collect Nectar points on online orders at Argos.co.uk you’ll need to link your Argos and Nectar accounts – to find out how, please visit www.argos.co.uk/nectar
  4. Nectar card or App swipe required at checkout.
  5. You can collect 1 Nectar points per £1 on qualifying spend at Habitat stores, Habitat.co.uk, Habitat products at Argos stores, Argos in Sainsbury’s and at Argos.co.uk in the UK.
  6. Nectar points will be credited to the primary Nectar cardholder's account within 30 days of purchase.
  7. If goods are returned under the Argos 30 day returns guarantee or an order is cancelled, Nectar points, where issued, will be re-claimed.
  8. Purchases made over the phone or via live chat are excluded.
  9. Nectar points are not available in the Republic of Ireland, on delivery charges, purchases of Argos Gift Cards, e-Top ups, iTunes vouchers, gift cards, Argos Pet Insurance, Argos Monthly Care, in game currency, Argos clearance stores, Argos for business, Argos spares, mobile phone cards, vouchers or sims.  This offer does not include Argos ebay stores
  10. Only one Nectar card may be used per transaction.

  14. We reserve the right to withdraw Nectar points where not issued in accordance with these terms and conditions, or in error and/or where we suspect fraud.  We reserve the right to reclaim Nectar points where we consider goods have been bulk purchased or for onward re-sale.
  15. The Nectar point collection programme is subject to the Nectar collector rules which are set out in the Nectar registration pack, brochure and online at www.nectar.com. Argos Limited reserve the right to alter or terminate the Nectar points offer at any time without the need for prior notice.We reserve the right to amend or cancel these terms and conditions and the Argos Nectar offer at any time.

Argos - spend

Spending Nectar points online

  1. You can spend from 500 (£2.50) to 100,000 (£500) Nectar points in one transaction online. Your Nectar points can be spent in 500 points/£2.50 increments, unless your purchase is under the £500 maximum points spend limit, when the Nectar points in your account can be used to cover the entire purchase price.
  2. You can spend your Nectar points at Habitat stores, Habitat.co.uk and on Habitat products online at Argos, in 500 points/£2.50 increments. You can spend from 500 (£2.50) to 100,000 (£500) Nectar points in one transaction.
  3. To redeem Nectar points online you’ll need to link your Argos and Nectar accounts – please visit https://www.argos.co.uk/nectar 
  4. Any remaining balance will need to be paid in full. You can pay any remaining balance online with a credit/debit card (including Argos Card, but not Argos for Business card or Argos Gift Cards).

Spending your Nectar points in-store

  1. You can spend from 500 points (£2.50). You’ll need to spend your points in 500 point/£2.50 increments, unless your purchase is under the £500 maximum points spend limit, when the Nectar points in your account can be used to cover the entire purchase price.
  2. You can spend your Nectar points at Habitat stores, Habitat.co.uk and on Habitat products in-store at Argos, in 500 points/£2.50 increments. You can spend from 500 (£2.50) to 100,000 (£500) Nectar points in one transaction. Points cannot be spent at Habitat outlet stores.
  3. Present your Nectar card or Nectar App at a staffed till to spend your Nectar points (subject to system availability). Any remaining balance will need to be paid in full. You can pay any remaining balance with a credit/debit card (including Argos Card, but not Argos for Business card or Argos Gift Cards).
  4. Your Nectar balance will be updated immediately. Once you’ve used your Nectar points to pay, it is not possible to convert them back into Nectar points. See 11.24 below for information about refunds.
  5. Nectar points can be only be used by the Nectar card holder.
  6. Only one Nectar card can be used per transaction.
  7. Goods, services and/or discounts are subject to availability and may change from time to time.

Refunds and cancellations:

  1. Argos reserves the right to issue Argos Gift Cards for items purchased using Nectar points which are subsequently returned or cancelled. We'll refund the Nectar portion of your payment as an Argos Gift Card (which is only redeemable at Argos). The remainder, where applicable, will be refunded via the original payment method, such as cash or payment card. If you need to return your item to a store for a refund, you’ll need to do this at a staffed till in any Argos store.
  2. If you order online and don’t collect your item within 7 days, your order will be cancelled, and you'll be refunded back to your original payment method(s). Your Nectar points will be refunded back to your Nectar card and, if you part-paid, any balance will be refunded to your payment card.
  3. Nectar cards remain the property of Nectar 360 Limited and must be returned on request. Nectar rewards are also subject to Argos' own Terms and Conditions.
  4. Argos reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Nectar redemption process at any time and without notice.

Esso – collect

  1. You must present your Nectar card or Nectar key tag at the time of your purchase at participating Esso sites to qualify for any Nectar points or have previously added your Nectar card details to your Esso App account. Nectar points cannot be awarded retrospectively.
  2. Nectar collectors can earn 1 point per litre of Esso Synergy fuel or 2 points per pound spent on carwash, lubes or shop products at participating Esso sites.  Nectar collectors cannot redeem points at Esso sites.
  3. Points collected at participating Esso sites will be credited to your Nectar account by Nectar Loyalty Ltd and included in your statement for redemption via existing Nectar redemption options.
  4. Transactions using Key Fuels or UK Fuels bunker card(s) are not eligible for Nectar points.
  5. Nectar points issued on transactions made using Esso Card, Esso Commercial Vehicle Card, EuroShell, DKV and Allstar BP Supercharge are capped at 100 points for unleaded, 250 points for diesel purchases and £200 for spend in shop.
  6. Nectar points are available at participating Esso branded service stations only. Please see details of participating Esso service stations here.  Nectar points will not be available for collection at Esso sites with a Tesco Express shop.
  7. Nectar points will not be issued on LPG purchases.
  8. Nectar points cannot be collected on tobacco and related products, alcohol, phone cards, baby milk, stamps, utility cards, e top-up or lottery.
  9. These terms and conditions may be amended, varied and/or supplemented by Esso Petroleum Company Limited (“Esso”) at any time in its absolute discretion and without prior notice.
  10. Specific terms and conditions will govern additional promotions and will be available on our website for the duration of such promotions.

  12. Esso reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend or change the availability of Nectar points without notice (including, but not limited to suspension arising out of non-availability of the App or technical failure generally or at a particular site).  Esso shall not be responsible for any losses suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination, suspension or change in the availability of the Nectar scheme at Esso branded sites.
  13. Esso may collect personal data in relation to questions submitted to its Customer Care department, to which the following privacy terms apply: website privacy policy or in relation to Nectar account information uploaded into the Esso App, in relation to which the following privacy terms apply: Esso App privacy policy.

Esso – spend

  • Nectar points can be spent at participating Esso branded service stations only. Please see details of participating Esso branded service stations here. Nectar points cannot be spent at Esso branded service stations with a Tesco Express shop.   
  • Nectar collectors can receive a 5 pence per litre discount of Esso Synergy™ fuel for 300 Nectar points, with a minimum fill size of 10 litres at participating Esso branded service stations. Discount applies on the first 60 litres only. Nectar points cannot be spent on non-fuel purchases.   
  • You must present your Nectar card or Nectar key tag at the time of your purchase at participating Esso branded service stations to receive a redemption option or have previously added your Nectar card details to your Esso App account. Nectar points cannot be spent retrospectively.   
  • Transactions using Key Fuels, UK Fuels bunker card(s), Esso Card, Esso Commercial Vehicle Card, EuroShell, DKV and Allstar BP Supercharge are not eligible for the Nectar redemption option.   
  • Nectar points cannot be spent on LPG purchases.

British Airways

While British Airways Executive Club makes some background system changes to the way members convert their Avios to Nectar, new customers will not be able to sign up to automatically convert Avios to Nectar points. If a customer signed up to automatically convert Avios to Nectar points before 16 February 2021, then the conversion will continue to be processed on a weekly basis, with a 10-day delay before points are credited to the Nectar account.

  1. To be eligible for this offer, Customers must be at least 18 years old and be either a member of British Airways Executive Club (“BAEC”) and/or a Nectar account holder (“Eligible Customers” or in the singular, an "Eligible Customer”). Eligible Customers must link their BAEC account to a Nectar account or their Nectar account to a BAEC account, in order to convert their Avios into Nectar points or their Nectar points into Avios.
  2. To link a BAEC account to a Nectar account or vice versa, Eligible Customers must visit either the Executive Club Exchange or Nectar website and select "Link your account".
  3. Only one Nectar account can be linked to one BAEC account at any given time and vice versa.
  4. A BAEC account can be linked and unlinked to any Nectar account a maximum of 4 times in a calendar year. A Nectar account can be linked and unlinked to any BAEC accounts a maximum of 4 times in a calendar year.
  5. To convert their Nectar points into Avios or their Avios into Nectar points, Eligible Customers must visit either the Executive Club Exchange or the Nectar website and have a Nectar account and BAEC account linked. Eligible Customers can manually convert their Nectar points to Avios or vice versa by selecting “Convert your points”. Eligible Customers can also choose to auto-convert their Nectar points to Avios or vice versa by selecting “Opt-in to automatic conversion”. The conversion of points from Avios to Nectar will require date of birth and email validation.
  6. A minimum of 250 Avios are required to make a conversion into Nectar points. Avios can only be converted into Nectar points in increments of 250 Avios. Eligible Customers will accrue 400 Nectar points for every 250 Avios converted.
  7. A minimum of 400 Nectar points are required to make a conversion into Avios. Nectar points can only be converted into Avios in increments of 400 Nectar points. Eligible Customers will accrue 250 Avios for every 400 Nectar points converted.
  8. Upon conversion, Avios can only be awarded to the BAEC account that the Nectar account has been linked to, and Nectar points can only be awarded to the Nectar account that the BAEC account has been linked to.
  9. Avios will be immediately credited to the Eligible Customers’ BAEC account when Nectar points are manually converted into Avios.
  10. Avios will be credited on a weekly basis to the Eligible Customers’ BAEC account when Nectar points are automatically converted into Avios.
  11. Nectar points will be credited 10 days after the date of transfer request to the Eligible Customers’ Nectar account when Avios are manually and automatically converted to Nectar points.
  12. An Eligible Customer may manually convert a maximum of 80,000 Nectar points or 50,000 Avios per calendar month. The cap is separate for both debiting and crediting (e.g.  80,000 Nectar points debit and 80,000 Nectar points credit permitted per calendar month). 
  13. An Eligible Customer may automatically convert a maximum of 40,000 Nectar points or 25,000 Avios per calendar quarter. 
  14. The manual and automatic points conversion caps are independent of one another.
  15. Once Nectar points are converted to Avios, they will be awarded in the Eligible Customer’s BAEC account, and BAEC terms and conditions apply. Avios are issued by and redeemed with Avios Group (AGL) Limited in accordance with Avios terms and conditions. For full details please visit www.britishairways.com/avios.
  16. British Airways PLC reserves the right to remove any Avios and close any BAEC account that British Airways PLC, Avios Group (AGL) Limited or Nectar believes has obtained or redeemed Avios in breach of these Terms and Conditions or in breach of the BAEC Terms and Conditions.
  17. Avios are not redeemable for cash.
  18. Avios Group (AGL) Limited or British Airways PLC are not liable for redemptions made through Nectar.

  20. Once Avios are converted to Nectar points, they will be awarded in the Eligible Customer’s Nectar account, Nectar terms and conditions apply. Nectar points are issued and redeemed in accordance with Nectar terms and conditions.
  21. Nectar is not liable for the flight, accommodations, or any other rewards redemptions made through British Airways Executive Club.

  23. Avios Group (AGL) Limited and Nectar reserve the right to change or modify these terms and conditions. 
  24. Any personal information you supply will be used by British Airways PLC in accordance with its Privacy Policy, by Nectar in accordance with its Privacy Policy, and by Avios Group (AGL) Limited in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
  25. When linking your accounts your personal data will be shared between British Airways PLC, Avios Group (AGL) Limited, and Nectar to facilitate the transfer of Avios and/or Nectar points and for marketing and analytical purposes. Sainsburys – collect

  • Collect 1 Nectar point per £1 on qualifying spend at Sainsbury's supermarkets and at sainsburys.co.uk in the UK. Collect 1 point per litre of fuel purchased at Sainsbury's petrol stations. Collect points on selected financial products once you've registered to do so with Sainsbury's Bank.
  • If you forget to swipe your Nectar card at tills, simply present your receipt at the Customer Service Desk with your Nectar card. Points for general shopping can be added up to 14 days after the date on the receipt. 
  • If you forgot to use a voucher, provided you’ve met the criteria for the extra points, take the voucher and your receipt to the Customer Service Desk within 14 days from the date on the receipt and they will be happy to help.
  • Nectar points are not available on the following limited range of Sainsbury's goods and services: spirits and liqueurs, any alcohol product containing more than 0.5% ABV in Northern Ireland, all alcohol in Scotland & Wales, baby milk products, lottery tickets, tobacco, vapes, nicotine pouches and other smoking related products, gift vouchers/cards all prescription and medicines, travel money, savings and postage stamps, mobile phone cards and vouchers, e top-up, paypoint payments, charity products, car park tickets, travel money, fuel (except where stated on front), cashback or saveback, vending machines, concessions, restaurants and coffee shops.

  • If you have downloaded the Nectar app, Sainsbury’s may occasionally send you a “swipe and win game” that offers you the opportunity to win bonus Nectar points. You do not need to take part in the “swipe and win game”. If you do take part, you will be notified at the point of completing the “swipe and win game” as to whether you have won, and if so, how many points you have won. The value of the bonus Nectar points you are given will vary depending on the offer at the time. Points will be immediately allocated to your account and will be visible within your ‘Points Transaction’ history. At any time, you can turn this feature on / off by entering the ‘Settings’ section on your Nectar app and toggling the “swipe and win game”.

Sainsbury’s – Spend

In store

A: Instant redemption straight from card

  • You must have spent over £1 and earned Nectar points instore in the last 12 months in order to be able to redeem points on your next visit (excluding pay at pump tills at petrol stations).
  • 24 hours after your first visit to a store you'll be able to redeem points at that store straight from your card.
  • Cards can be activated at as many Sainsbury's stores as you like.
  • You'll be able to redeem at each store so long as you shop there once every 12 months with your Nectar card. If you haven't visited a store in over 12 months simply shop there again with your Nectar card and 24 hours later you'll be able to redeem your points there.
  1. Points cannot be redeemed on fuel using pay at pump. To make a redemption on fuel, cards must be swiped at the kiosk. 
  2. Points cannot be redeemed against gift cards.
  3. Certain instore concessions are not included; please ask instore for more details. No redemption is accepted until Sainsbury's has confirmed it to you.
  4. Goods, services and/or discounts are subject to availability and may change from time to time.
  5. In addition to all terms and conditions in this section, this reward is subject to Sainsbury's own terms and conditions.
  6. Points cannot be redeemed on any alcohol product containing more than 0.5% ABV in Northern Ireland.
  7. Points cannot be redeemed against tobacco, vapes, nicotine pouches and other smoking related products, lottery and gift cards.

B: Offer specific voucher

  1. Sainsbury's specific vouchers are issued by Nectar360 Ltd for use at Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd only.
  2. Vouchers are to be handed to the cashier at Sainsbury's at the time of purchase and, if all conditions are met, you will be entitled to the treat specified on the voucher.
  3. Vouchers are not valid beyond the expiry date shown on the front.
  4. Vouchers can only be redeemed instore at Sainsbury's and Sainsbury's petrol stations and must be presented at the till when paying for your purchases. Vouchers cannot be redeemed in Argos or Habitat.
  5. Vouchers cannot be redeemed against online shopping, in Sainsbury's concessions, franchises or restaurants or "Sainsbury's @" stores.
  6. Vouchers can be used as part payment. If the price of the goods exceeds this value, the balance must be paid on purchase.
  7. If the price of the goods is less than this value, no change will be given.
  8. Points will not be refunded for vouchers not used by their expiry date.
  9. Vouchers cannot be used for the purchase of financial services or to obtain cash advances, nor can they be sold or transferred for value.
  10. Damaged, defaced or photocopied vouchers will not be accepted.
  11. Vouchers remain the property of Nectar360 Ltd.
  12. Points cannot be redeemed and vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or discounted rate, unless otherwise stated.
  13. No redemption is accepted until Sainsbury's has confirmed it to you.
  14. Goods, services and/or discounts are subject to availability and may change from time to time.
  15. Use of vouchers is subject to voucher terms and conditions.
  16. In addition to all terms and conditions in this section, this reward is subject to Sainsbury's own terms and conditions.

Redemption and use of existing Nectar Voucher codes - Terms & Conditions

  1. Only one sainsburys.co.uk voucher code supplied in exchange for Nectar points can be entered per transaction.
  2. Sainsburys.co.uk vouchers can no longer be issued in exchange for Nectar points.To redeem other Nectar points click here.
  3. Nectar points already redeemed for an existing sainsburys.co.uk voucher code, cannot be cancelled or refunded.  They may be spent only in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  4. Existing sainsburys.co.uk voucher code values are shown on nectar.com and in existing voucher confirmation emails and can only be redeemed at sainsburys.co.uk for that value.
  5. For queries relating to your existing Nectar voucher redemption or voucher codes on nectar.com call the Nectar helpline on 0344 811 0811
  6. A sainsburys.co.uk voucher code can only be used on our groceries website at sainsburys.co.uk.  It cannot be used instore. You cannot redeem Nectar points at Sainsbury’s Local in partnership with Euro Garages stores. 
  7. Only one sainsburys.co.uk voucher code can be entered per transaction.
  8. A sainsburys.co.uk voucher code can be used only once.
  9. A sainsburys.co.uk voucher code can be used on grocery orders delivered by the expiry date shown on the voucher. 
  10. The voucher code value will be used towards payment of your basket. If the order exceeds the amount of the voucher code, the balance must be paid by credit or debit card.
  11. A sainsburys.co.uk voucher code cannot be redeemed against delivery charges. A cash element is required on all transactions.
  12. Normal Sainsbury's terms and conditions of purchase and use of the sainsburys.co.uk website apply.

  14. You must use your voucher code in full in one transaction. If the value of your order on sainsburys.co.uk falls below the value of the voucher code you have used, the voucher code will be removed from the order and the remainder taken from the credit or debit card you used to make your payment.
  15. On rare occasions, some items that you order may not be available, and this could result in the total of your order being less than the value of the voucher code you have used. In this case, the voucher code will be removed from the order and the full amount of the order will be taken from the debit or credit card used to make the original order.   16. A sainsburys.co.uk voucher code not used by their expiry date will not be accepted on sainsburys.co.uk and cannot be refunded.
